Observing people is a virtue because you will not adopt the habits of others that irritate you.

To nurture leadership quality is not an easy thing to achieve. A great leader is a great observer. To be a great observer we need to have an excellent sense of comprehension. Leadership evolves with the time when you see, feel and hold a conversation with your heart and mind about different subjects, events and people. You know, not all the bad things are harmful in our life. Just we need to figure out the reason or purpose of the circumstances. We can also extract something meaningful and good out of bad. A good observer can learn from some negative people who can be encountered now and then in our life.

Lets go through the below 10 different types of Leadership qualities that I have learned from negative people:

  1. Poor in Communication: The worst part of negative people is that they are impatient in any discourse; they are not able to zip their lips. Unwanted interruption is commonly seen in their conversation, if you have had this type of conversion recently then close your eyes and the image of that person will appear. The best leadership skill is to nourish patience to listen to others.
  2. Energy Sucker: Negative or toxic people are known to talk negative all the time and all their prediction about any subjects is filled with negativity. If you sit with them for few minutes, they will suck your energy and your battery will be almost dead same like a cell phone. Leaders are highly optimistic in every step of their life, they are source of energy and motivate others.
  3. Feeling Sad for other’s Happiness: Some people feel sad because you are happy. Those who are toxic or negative, feel sad if others are happy and it is some type of sickness. Listening to the good news about others and feel happy for them is also shows the value of a person and is an integral part of one’s leadership.
  4. Pessimist: Toxic or negative people rarely see good side of any event, situation or circumstance. They see dark side about everything especially for others. If you say you are going to peruse an online course, they will say what is the use of having any certificate in this time of pandemic. Leadership does not support pessimistic view or perspective.
  5. Backbiting: Toxic and negative people are used to having a conversation behind your back. They are backstabber and they enjoy the moments when they damage the rapport of the other people in their absence. A leader always talks on your face even if it hurts.
  6. Opportunist: If they are with you and smell something they can get from you, they will be your follower. And then they smell once again that you are not useful for them, they will be seen with somebody else to avail something from them. The leader creates an opportunity for others, they never use somebody for their benefits or purpose.
  7. Revengeful: Negative people take revenge, as they do not nourish the practice of forgiveness. They are always curious to take revenge and sometimes they fabricate some issue about somebody and make a plan to take revenge. ‘Lesson learned’ is enough for a Leader after being harmed by anybody. Leaders do not believe in taking revenge.
  8. Attitude: A person can be judged by his attitude. A bad attitude is very common with negative people. A humble attitude is like the jewellery of a leader, which attracts and inspires others.
  9. Self-Bragging: It is seldom observed a leader boasts about himself or herself. They appreciate your achievement and they never try to show that they have done something amazing. Negative people are like an empty vessel that creates useless noise.
  10. Garrulous: If you often blame others, take credit for other’s achievement then you need to talk a lot, negative people are found to be garrulous. A leader never concocts a fake story or they are not gossip -monger, they speak with full conviction on a subject, which is well perceptible in their demeanor.

Check conclusion: I observe my life and circumstances around me very minutely which accelerated my brain to compose this article, if you have found something meaningful to enhance your Leadership skill after reading this post then it will serve the purpose of my effort.

Thank you for reading as always!
